Sex and the Cultural Divide

Friend: I grew up in a culture where sex is as open as the sky and as free as the oxygen we breathe.

Me: I grew up in a culture where monogamy in a relationship is as important as breathing.

I know neither of us is right nor wrong but let us try to think and think analytically that if we get ourselves into a committed relationship, monogamy is always expected not unless we agreed on something like an open relationship.

If we continue banking on the notion that as human beings, we have a carnal need to to satiate our sexual needs, then there's no reason of having a committed relationship like marriage.

It's not the culture, race or distance that divides us but it's how we perceive the kind of relationship we have.
